Installation paths for zora
We offer three distinct installation workflows to suit your device and preference. Each is equally secure and feature-complete; the choice comes down to convenience and how you use your phone.
Installation steps
- Download the zora APK file (Android) or open our web app URL in Safari or Chrome (iOS and web).
- On Android, enable "Unknown Sources" in Security settings if you haven't already, then tap the downloaded file to begin installation.
- Launch zora, create your account or sign in with your existing username and email.
- Complete KYC verification with a photo ID and proof of address, then deposit via your preferred payment method and join a live table.
Native app versus browser access
Our standalone Android APK offers offline asset caching, meaning game graphics and UI elements load from your device storage on subsequent launches, reducing bandwidth use on slower connections. Push notifications alert you to new live-table openings, withdrawal confirmations, and account activity. The APK also integrates with your phone's file system for streamlined backup. The iOS web app and mobile browser access, by contrast, require no installation and work across any device with a modern browser. Browser access is faster to set up—no download, no permissions dialog—and updates roll out automatically without requiring a manual APK reinstall. Both paths support the same live-dealer studios, sportsbook markets, and payment methods; the underlying architecture is identical. Choose the APK for speed and notifications, or choose the web path for zero-footprint convenience.
Device compatibility and system requirements
We support Android 7.0 (API 24) through the latest versions, covering devices released from 2016 onward. iOS users require iOS 12.0 or later, typically devices from iPhone 5s and above. Our app uses 35–50 MB of storage for core assets; additional data downloads on first launch of each game type. We do not require camera, microphone, location, or contact permissions for standard gaming. Storage and network access are the only essential permissions, and both are disclosed before you grant them. On older devices with limited RAM, some multi-camera live studios may downgrade video quality automatically to maintain frame rate. Device testing is ongoing; if you encounter performance issues on a specific model or OS version, our support team can assist with optimization tips or suggest the browser-access path as an alternative.
Troubleshooting common installation issues
Android users who see "Unknown Sources" warnings should navigate to Settings > Security > Install Unknown Apps and toggle permission for the browser or file manager through which they downloaded the APK. If installation fails mid-way, clear your phone's cache via Settings > Apps > [App Name] > Storage > Clear Cache, then retry. Certificate trust errors (rare) typically resolve after restarting your device. On iOS, if the web app fails to load, clear Safari cache via Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data, then re-add the home-screen shortcut. For both platforms, ensure your internet connection is stable—switching between Wi-Fi and cellular during download can interrupt the process. If you encounter persistent issues after these steps, contact our support team; they can verify your device compatibility and guide you through alternatives such as browser-only access or a fresh account login.
Data, permissions, and account security on mobile
Our mobile app encrypts all data in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher, and stores sensitive credentials (passwords, two-factor authentication codes) only in your device's secure enclave, never in plain text. We do not log geolocation data unless you explicitly grant permission for a specific support feature. Login sessions expire after subject to verification of inactivity to prevent unauthorized access if your phone is lost. Enable two-factor authentication (TOTP or SMS-based) in your account settings for an additional security layer. When you withdraw funds via DANA, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, or bank transfer, your payment details are tokenized—zora never stores full account numbers. KYC verification documents (national ID, address proof) are encrypted and held on segregated servers compliant with data-protection standards. If you uninstall zora, no account data remains on your device; your account itself remains active and you can reinstall and log in at any time. If your phone is lost or stolen, sign in from another device, change your password, and contact support to disable any active sessions.
